Never afraid to use innovation and technology to push creative boundaries, Thom enjoys walking the line between composition and sound design and the ability of these elements to connect and communicate with the listener.
One of Australia’s leading brass players, Thom has collaborated with many of the country’s top ensembles and solo artists. Notably he has been a Yamaha Performing Artist, has a Masters from the Royal Northern College of Music (UK), and lectured at universities nationally. Thom regularly works as a freelance sound editor and re-recording mixer for the foremost studios in the country, with recent credits including The Rover, I Frankenstein, Paranoia, The Railway Man and Son of a Gun.
With a consistently diverse range of projects on her plate, Tara has sculpted a place for herself amongst the best young sound professionals in the country. Working on a variety of internationally released feature films, television series and acclaimed shorts, Tara enjoys collaborating with some of the leading directors and sound teams in Australia. Just at home creating delicious baked goods for her co-workers as she is at recording A-list actors, Tara is a wonderful addition to the Beautiful Noise team. Recent credits include The Sapphires, The Turning, I Frankenstein, Backtrack and Old School.
Sound Designer/Foley Specialist
Revelling in the nature of sound and with a background in music and technical production, Andrew has been awarded the Contemporary Music Centre’s Songwriter of the Year and has contributed to projects ranging from multi-award winning documentaries, blockbuster film releases to emmy nominated television series.
As part of his sound design Andrew has a particular interest and enthusiasm towards Foley because of the complex texture and depth it adds to the mix. As well as working amongst the best Foley artists in country, Andrew also loves to gather unique sounds in field and come up with new and inspiring bespoke audio designs. Recent work includes Mad Max: Fury Road, The Railway Man, Son of a Gun, Top of the Lake and Wentworth.
Highly adaptable, always engaging, Damien is a Sydney-based composer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and music producer, specialising in music for the screen.
Damien’s portfolio includes work for television (MTV UK, MTV Australia, Foxtel), several award-winning short films, documentaries, contemporary dance scores, documentaries, animations, theatre, web series and promos. His work has screened worldwide at festivals including Cannes, Australian Film Festival London, Flickerfest and many more. Recent award nominations include an MPSE Golden Reel and ASCG Award.
